  • I have so much respect and care for you! Loving you always for you diligent heart wanting to see me grow and thrive in all I do!

Before starting therapy, I was experiencing the worst heartbreak of my life. The breakup of a seven-year relationship felt like a death. I was overwhelmed with grief, sadness, regret, and emotional pain. I struggled to understand why I had made certain choices throughout the relationship, and I found myself blaming myself for everything. There were moments when I didn’t want to leave my bed, and when I realized I was having thoughts that concerned me, I knew I needed help beyond what I could manage on my own.

  • If you feel that pull, listen to it. Seeking therapy is not a sign of weakness, it is an act of courage and self-love.

There is no shame in asking for help. Sometimes prayer, family, and friends are part of the healing journey, and sometimes God also places professionals in our lives to help us heal. Therapy gave me a safe space to process my pain, understand myself better, and begin rebuilding my life. You do not have to suffer in silence. Healing is possible, and you deserve the support you need to get there.

  • New List ItemDr. Valarie made me feel comfortable, and she never judged me in any situation. She was truly there for me, and I am so grateful that I made the decision to start this journey last year. It has completely changed me.

Having Dr. Valarie as my therapist was one of the best experiences for me. There were many things that happened throughout my childhood and adulthood that I didn’t fully understand or know how to process. I’m someone who doesn’t usually like to talk about what truly hurts me. I often pushed my pain aside and never took the time to fully express what I was feeling inside the hurt, the betrayal, and the feeling of being unloved.

I was not a fan of therapy at first, but last year I decided to take a chance and be part of this program and it was the best decision I could have made. Talking with Dr. Valarie helped me realize that I was not alone. She guided me through my pain, helping me face it, sit with it, and begin to heal my wounds.

It was not easy for me, but after each session, I felt myself gaining confidence and clarity. I came to understand that my past does not define me, and that I still have the power to create my future, set my own boundaries, and protect my peace.
